Last week saw the completion of a second project for our client Field Lane at a site in Leigh Road, Surrey. Field Lane is a long established charity that offers care and support services for adults with learning disabilities and for vulnerable families.
Martello was appointed back in October 2016 and started work on site in February as Architect, Contract Administrator, Quantity Surveyor and CDM Principal Designer and has been working on the project alongside building contractor Spencer Francis.
The Leigh Road site is a 5 unit internal/external property re-development to provide supported living, en-suite accommodation for adults with learning disabilities.
Martello’s involvement in the project has been from the outset providing desktop feasibility review through proposed conversion layouts, cost planning for purchase and conversion, detailed surveying and planning consent, compiling the project tender package and acting as the contract administrator for the build.
This is the second Field Lane project where Martello have worked alongside contractor Spencer Francis. Andy Cruttenden – the Martello project lead on the Leigh Road site said, “Property conversions on projects such as this require a sensitivity to the needs of the end client – having worked with Spencer Francis on a previous conversion for Field Lane we knew that their experience in delivering solutions for the bespoke needs of the clients would enable us to deliver another high quality residential facility for Field Lane.”
