Having received planning permission from Thanet District Council at the end of July, the team at Martello Building Consultancy are really looking forward to work starting on site in the coming weeks at St Christopher’s House in Ramsgate, for which we have been appointed to act as Architectural Technician, Contract Administrator and CDM Principal Designer.

The refurbishment of the block and the remodeling of the building, to create five independent living spaces in a house of multiple occupation, is being undertaken for our client ‘Together Kent’.

Together Kent is a Kent based charity that works closely with communities, other charities and voluntary organizations tackling issues of low income, debt, lack of skills, poor mental health and isolation. Working with churches of all denominations, this particular scheme is part of the ‘Break the Cycle’ project which aims to end the cycle of re-offending caused by releasing people from prison into street homelessness.

We’re really looking forward to sharing some more pictures of the project as it progresses and updating you on the completed refurbishment in due course.
