Martello Building Consultancy were appointed by Dover District Council to provide Employer’s Agent Services on a project to deliver six properties for affordable housing on a site at Jute Field’s, St Richard’s Road in Deal.

The project, which was part of a Section 106 planning agreement for the wider development taking place on the site comprises two 2 bedroom houses and two 3 bedroom houses for affordable rent, and two 2 bedroom houses for shared ownership.

Dover District Council purchased the properties via an off the shelf arrangement with the developer and principal contractor – ATS Homes Ltd and they have been constructed to a very good standard.

Martello Building Consultancy have worked on numerous projects for Dover District Council in recent years as the local authority looks to add quality new build homes to its growing portfolio of affordable housing stock available across the district. After the handover of the properties to Dover District Council, Martello Managing Director Andy Cruttenden said, “This conclusion of this project brings six well-constructed and well-proportioned
new properties into the local authority’s portfolio of affordable homes. It is a really good example of a section 106 planning agreement benefitting the local community whilst encouraging good quality housing development.”
