This project for a new business hub in New Romney was undertaken by our client East Kent Spatial Development Company in joint partnership with Folkestone and Hythe District Council, with support from the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA)/ Magnox socio-economic programme.

Martello Building Consultancy were appointed to act as Employer’s Agent, CDM Principal Designer and Technical Architect for this regeneration project in Mountfield Road.

‘Romney Marsh Business Hub’ is an important regeneration project on a previous brownfield site delivering 14 high quality office suites and meeting rooms and provides a community ‘business hub’ with communal kitchen and landscaped outdoor space as well as suitable provision for car parking with Electric Charging Points within a secure site.

This business hub is part of a wider development of Mountfield Road to develop areas of the industrial estate for use by new and local businesses to help the local economy recover.

Work commenced on site in January 2021 with Principal Contractor Breem Construction. The project was completed in November 2021 and was opened by HRH The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO on 26th May 2022.
