Despite the disruption caused to many companies throughout 2020, the building industry has remained largely open for business and certainly for the team at Martello Building Consultancy, it has been an extremely busy time. Due to our increased workload, and to ensure we are in a strong position ready for 2021, we expanded our team during the first lockdown period and we thought now would be a great opportunity to introduce Annabel West and Nadine Dulalia to you. For those familiar with the Martello team over the last few years, Annabel won’t necessarily be a brand new face as she has worked for us a number of times previously on work experience when she was at Folkestone School for Girls, and on holiday placements during her time at University. Having received a much deserved First Class Degree in Architecture from Nottingham University this year, we were really pleased to be able to welcome Annabel on a permanent, part-time basis working as an Architectural Assistant. Annabel knows Martello and our client base really well and will be working with our architectural team on a number of exciting projects over the coming months. It’s also great that for the rest of the working week Annabel works part-time for another like-minded, local business that we collaborate with on a variety of different projects – Profile Architects.

Thanks to our investment in technology over the past 12 months and the move to enable more remote working, we have also now employed Nadine Dulalia on a part-time basis as
an administrator in the Martello team. Nadine is currently studying for a Degree in Business Administration at the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines and is a
specialist in business, management and marketing. Nadine offers us significant flexibility with our office administration as she is actually based in Manila – providing additional remote cover and administration support outside of the normal UK working hours, and also increasing our capacity. If you recognise Nadine’s surname that’s because of the family connection to one of the
Martello Building Consultancy Directors – Melissa Dulalia, who is Nadine’s mum.

The addition of Annabel and Nadine to Martello Building Consultancy provides us with more flexibility to work through these challenging times and reinforces our foundation to build Martello further during 2021.
