Kent Police Training Buildings, Maidstone

Martello Building Consultancy were appointed by Kent Police to act as Architectural Technician and Designer for this project in Maidstone, Kent.

Our Architectural technicians provided the Planning Application and Building Regulation information for the design of two purpose built training facilities at the Kent Police Training College.

This was a really interesting project – the buildings were for training police officers in the use of tactical firearms and public order operations and it was very different to anything that we had been involved in before.

Due to the type of training that the police force were undertaking at the facilities, the construction of the buildings used a variety of robust materials and techniques to provide strength to the structures. Training at the site includes raid scenarios, explosions, live ammunition and forceful entry.
